Chicago Blackstone Hotel Weddings | Sneak Peek-Lindsay and Matt-MARRIED!!!

I’m addicted to my job!  I just got back 3 hours ago from documenting Lindsay and Matt’s big day and immediately I backed up all my images.  Instead of running to bed, I felt the urge to show you all a quick sneak peek of this beautiful wedding and the super trendy Blackstone Hotel.  Congrats Lindsay and Matt!  Can’t wait to show you all the rest.  In the meantime, enjoy!!!

Lake Tahoe Photography | Nikon D3s Night Shots

On my last night at Lake Tahoe, we decided to take Lola on a nice stroll.  It was a gorgeous night and the moon was FULL!  Here are some shots taken hand held taken at a really high ISO.  For the skeptics, I had two witnesses, my friend Tiffany and her husband Ly, saw me take these shots handheld.  Let me know what you think!!!

*****Note*****I want to add that none of these pictures has NOT been retouched or altered and they were all taken at around 10:30pm.  It was pitch black.  The only thing that was lit was the moon and the lights lighting up the pier.  Other than that, it was really dark.

Image below was shot handheld at 1/13 sec at f/2/0 ISO 2500

Image below was taken handheld at 1/6 sec at f/2.0 ISO2500

Image below was taken handheld at 1/8 sec at f/ 2.0 ISO 3200

Image below was shot handheld at 1/6 sec at f/2.0 ISO 25600.  I just wanted you to see how high I took it this evening and it’s a tiny bit grainy yes, but overall pretty impressive!  Any higher than ISO 25600 would’ve been way too bright.  Did I mentioned that this was handheld!!!!!  Meaning without a tripod!!!

Lake Tahoe Photography | Lola’s First Vacation

My girlfriend Tiffany invited me on this trip with her to Lake Tahoe while her husband Ly’s attending an all day conference.  As soon as I got the invite from her, I jumped on that chance right away.  This is a first trip to Lake Tahoe for all of us.  I rarely have so MANY pictures of me because I’m so used to being the one behind the lens.  Tiffany and I went on this photography tour called Lake Tahoe Photographic Tours.  A big thanks for my Giant for discovering this tour for us on Tripadvisor.  This tour is an absolute MUST.  The price tag to this tour may sound pricey at first but once the tour guide takes you to your first off-the-beaten-path location, that alone was worth the money.  This is a four-five hour tour that take you to the most scenic places around Lake Tahoe.  Like I had mentioned earlier, our tour guide took us to places that you wouldn’t be able to find yourself if your life depended on it.  Hehe.  But seriously, as you’re about to see for yourself with these pictures, the views and locations were breathtaking.

So here are some pictures from this amazing trip.  I’ve been to about 27 states here in our beautiful country and I must say, Lake Tahoe is hands down the prettiest place I’ve visited!  Thanks Tiffany and Ly for having me on this trip!  Can’t wait to do it again!!!   This time, we have to go tubing down the Truckee River!!

I’ll be posting my night pics taken by Lola tomorrow.  You’ll seriously be blown away by the clarity and sharpness to these images!!  Stay tuned!!
