Jenna & Nathan’s Rockstar-Studded Wedding

He’s wildly spontaneous and charming. She’s down-to-earth and smokin’ hot. Somewhat paradoxical, and yet, it makes perfect sense for this couple boasting bonafide star status. Early on in their courtship, Nathan, lead vocalist for Chicago rock band Madina Lake, literally rocked the sassy socks off of Jenna, a media personality here in town whom you might remember from here and here. (Um, hello, hottie… it’s no wonder that her certifiable rock-femme appeal won over Nathan’s heart!)

Their wedding looked like a cover of Rolling Stone mag: awash in whites and studded with bits of gold at times. It was staged against the backdrop of Gallery 1028’s raw loft space in the industrial Goose Island district of Chicago. Classic rock and roll tunes played at dinner, and when the night was over, they rolled out in their hippie van.

The affair exuded a high-low mix of rocker style tempered with vintage romance. Nathan’s all-white ensemble––complete with white jeans, studded belt and Chuck Taylor kicks––was offset by Jenna’s pretty pile of organza roses making up her Songul Sarpbas designer gown.

I had a blast capturing all the undeniably badass details of this wedding, from the bride’s pimped-out, jewel-encrusted Jeffrey Campbell heels to the Ketel One centerpiece holders (long since emptied!), the American Gold lace minidresses and platform wedges worn by bridesmaids, to the––wait for it––backstage concert passes that doubled as table seating cards!

A brief overview of Jenna and Nathan’s rockstar-studded big day:

Thank you so so so much, Jenna and Nathan! Photographing your special day (and your amazing entourage of friends and family!) was a true lesson in life, love and rock ‘n roll. I know you both have a rockin’ future ahead of you. Obvi.

xo, Melissa
