Holiday Session with the Atkins Family

This post could be titled “How to get the best possible photos from your session.” Despite the bitter cold of December in Chicago, Mom & Dad smiled and laughed through our entire mini session*. Vilayphone and Curtis made it fun for the baby, which made it fun and easy for me, because 11-month old CJ was happy and smiley the whole time – and who doesn’t love smiley babies? From this photographer’s lips to your ears, a great attitude is the key to a great session.

For this holiday session, the Atkins family, and their dog Peanut, came over to my home for the shoot. While they stayed warm inside the house, I decked the Christmas pine tree out back with colorful ornaments and set up a variety of fun holiday props to brighten up a wintry day.
