I know Evan’s mom, Jennifer, for as long as I can remember. She’s somewhat family to me. My sister-in-law’s little sister. Little Evan, at eight days new, is a champion sleeper. Even through all the poses, he was still out like a light. Love!! Now Little G has another play buddy to play with! Yeah!!!

Chicago Newborn Photographer | Hayden

The last time I spent time with this family was during Josie’s maternity session. Hayden took his time baking arriving four days past his due date. I was excited when I got the call from Hayden’s dad, Brad, announcing the arrival of this little one. This session was taken on three separate days. I got to see Hayden when he was 4, 6, and 11 days new! It’s amazing how every time I saw Hayden, he looked different each day. Hayden was such a good sleeper and just so precious. I haven’t held a newborn since Little G! I forget how tiny and delicate they are. It was a great session and Hayden was such a delight to pose. Thanks Josie, Brad, and Hayden for having me. Congrats again!

Baby Valentine’s Day

For those of you that knows me knows that I’m not a fan of Valentine’s Day. But if I can find an excuse to dress Roman up as cupid, heck yeah! I’ve been planning this shoot for months and it so happens to be around the time my niece, Elia, turns six months. The shoot itself was fun but exhausting at the same time. Two babies and one toddler (my nephew Mekhi). Need I say more? Lol.

Angela, my sister-in-law is behind Elia hiding behind the balloons. She’s laying on the floor ninja style trying to hold Elia up because she’s not old enough to sit up by herself. It was quite the funny scene.

Thanks Josh from Joshua Albanese for lending me your studio for the afternoon! You’re seriously the best!!!

Little G | Roman Rhys Peterman

It’s been a little over a month since I’ve written my last post. Since then, Little G has finally made his long awaited appearance. After nine long months, five countries, and five states, he’s finally here!!!

Born exactly a month ago today on October 9, 2011.

Weight 8lbs 9 oz

21 inches long!

One big healthy boy!

Here’s a short video documenting Little G’s arrival. To turn off the blog music, please scroll to the bottom of this page. I used to sing and hum (and I still do) the song “Make You Feel My Love” to Little G all the time when I was pregnant. We thought it was the perfect song for the video. We were so tired and boy was I SWOLLEN from all the IV fluids and medications. I don’t even recognize myself in the video! Every time I watch this video I just sob – tears of happiness of course. We’re so blessed that we were able to have video footage of Little G starting from his first few seconds entering this world. We both can’t believe we created something so beautiful, and how he can make us so immensely happy. We were both so emotional the day we brought Little G home from the hospital. We can barely get things done nowadays because all we do is just stare at Little G. Lol.

I’ve been taking pictures of Little G daily. People keep telling me how fast they grow so I don’t want to miss a day (at least try not to) without a photo taken of this little chubster. Here are some photos that were taken by me during this first month of life.

Newborn Photographer in Chicago | Evelyn-8 Days New!!

Here’s a quick blog on my newborn session yesterday with the adorable Evelyn. Currently at 8.5 months preggers, this will probably be my last session before the arrival of Little G. Can’t believe I’m going to have one of these angels in my arms in 2.5 weeks or less. Eeek!! So stinking excited!! Ok, back to Evelyn, lol. At only eight days old, she is insanely adorable! At one point during the session, while Evelyn’s mom Michelle tried putting her to sleep, it was so relaxing, I found myself wanting to dose off with Baby Evelyn. Lol. Here are some of my favorites from yesterday’s session!

Twins Newborn Photographer | Baby T and M

I’ve known Mina and Alan for years and when Mina told me she was expecting twins earlier this year, both me and Giant were so excited for them. We love these two!

I started off the session by holding and coaxing three week old Baby T to sleep while Mina is doing the same to her brother Baby M. Baby T and I got along just great and she just melted in my arms but she wasn’t in the mood to fall asleep like her brother. Lol.

When Baby M finally fell asleep, he slept like a rock! It was so cute when we laid his twin sister on top of him, she was fussing and crying and he didn’t budge and was unfazed with the commotions.

Mina and Alan said this is the closest these two been to each other since their birthday three weeks ago. They were so cute cuddling next to each other.

Of course we can’t leave big brother Raffi out of the picture. He just loves kissing and hugging them!

Thanks Mina and Alan for allowing me the honor. I can’t wait for our play dates when Little G arrive in two months!!!

Chicago Newborn Baby Photographer | Baby Jordan

I blogged a sneak peek of Baby Jordan’s newborn pics a few weeks ago. Finally got around to editing this precious session. I guess me being preggers means me becoming obsessed with shooting these newborn sessions! I can’t get enough of these babies. During this session, I had some white noise playing in the background to help put Jordan to sleep after his feeding. He didn’t fall asleep right away. The person that did fall asleep was Jordan’s dad Trey! I was on the computer for a few minutes while we were waiting for Jordan to fall asleep and I turn around and saw Trey sleeping and softly snoring. It was hysterical!! I guess white noise doesn’t just work for babies. Lol!! Thanks Jean and Trey for allowing me the honor to photograph your precious gift. He was so patient as he let me gently pose him. He was a good influence to Little G because he barely cried. What an angel! LOVE!!!
