Amber and Brett are both getting married in October at Navy Pier. Amber is a full time nurse (could you imagine this beauty as your nurse??) and Brett is an owner to an insurance agency. They’ve been dating for over 3.5 years. Brett proposed to Amber while they were on the Mediterannean cruise last year. I am also HAPPY and EXCITED to announce that Amber has agreed to be my model for the Trash the Dress Event September 27!!!! She’ll be dipped in a vintage tub filled w/ either bubbles or hmmmm milk??? I can’t WAIT!!!! Congrats you two. You both were so EASY to work with. It helps that Amber used to model! Haha!!  For their engagement pictures, we went to the Chicago beaches to photograph this sexy session.

]]> http://melissadiep.net/2009/09/chicago-engagement-photographer-amber-and-brettengaged/feed/ 3 Chicago Photographer | Chicago Wedding Photographer | Chicago Weddings | Destination Wedding Photographer | My amazing Giant http://melissadiep.net/2009/09/chicago-photographer-my-amazing-giant/ http://melissadiep.net/2009/09/chicago-photographer-my-amazing-giant/#comments Thu, 03 Sep 2009 04:27:37 +0000 Melissa http://melissadiep.net/?p=512 So I accidentally deleted an entire album (engagement session) off of my hard drive and emptied out my trash bin.  I went into straight panic mode last night.  I have NEVER done anything like that.  EVER!!  I immediately Twittered/Facebook asking for help from ANY photographers that was up at 2am.  Lain Eubank messaged me and spent some time trying to troubleshoot.  We tried again today but no luck.  You have no idea how thankful I am that she reached out in the middle of the night.  After talking to Lain I realized I should start writing my obituary.  So after Giant came home from a long day of work, I almost literally threw him in front of the computer and basically made him figure it out.  He knows NOTHING about Lightroom.  Five hours later and the album is back up!!!!  I don’t know how he does it.  But he did.  And he does it everytime.  I always know that if I’m stuck anywhere that’s computer related I can count on my Giant to come and rescue.  He’s like my knight in armor for computers!!!

It was such a fun session (gosh I say that a lot, but it’s TRUE). At the end of this session, Joe had so much fun that he started throwing his creative ideas at ME. haha. Which I was all for it.
