Chicago Trash the Dress

Karen Wade chose the perfect fall day to put together this trash the dress with a real bride and groom and she invited a few of us to join. Unfortunately I was not able to stay for very long so I didn’t take many pictures. This is all I have. Thanks Karen for putting this together!!

Hi. I wanted to share with you some of the talents that was at the Trash the Dress event I hosted a few weeks ago for Chicago wedding photographers. Though not everyone that was there didn’t have blogs, you can still check out some of the images here. For those that did have blogs, I want to share some of those images for you. Here’s edited pics of the Chicago Trash the DressI had put together for about 20 photographers. Thank you all for attending. It was a BLAST. But I thank the models the most for being such great sports!! They were all beautiful in their own unique way. I especially thank Nina from Ottolino Photos for modeling while she was horribly sick. She does photo retouching everyone if you ever need a place for outsourcing!!! Add her!!

This set was taken by Candice Cunningham. We were there to shoot a wedding with Jessica Conroy. They both decided to make the most of everything by throwing me in a dress. I was frolicking on the sandy beaches in the Bahamas. It was so much fun. My knees were raw by the end from crawling around for so long.

Btw, Candice, you scared the s*** out of me when you screamed “stingray!!!”. You remember that? We both were running for our lives. Try running with this heavy wet dress!!! LMAO!!

Candice took this set with her Canon 5d, underwater camera equipment, and scuba gear so some of the images may be a bit blurry. It was hysterical seeing her with all these contraption on her face while shooting me. Haha.

So I’ve been having a hard time finding a bride that’s willing to do a trash the dress session in Chicago. I’ve spoken to some fellow photographer’s in Chicago that’s never done it in Chicago as well. So I’ve decided to find myself a beautiful model and a beautiful wedding dress and do my own trash the dress session. In the midst of planning this photo session, I decided, heck, why don’t I just invite my fellow photographers along for the shoot. I never really get to see them nor have I really shot with them. I figured it’ll be a good time for us to all get together, learn, and have FUN!! Now we all can add a trash the dress session to our catalog. I decided to put together this event last night and was SHOCKED with the response I’ve gotten. Not just from my fellow Chicago photographers but the surrounding state as well. It actually got me thinking that I should maybe host another TTD before it gets cold out? Here’s a picture of my own TTD for those of you that don’t know what it is. These photos was taken by Mili Ghosh from Memories In Motion.
