Las Vegas Wedding Photographer | Chicago Wedding Photographer | Chicago Weddings | Destination Wedding Photographer | Skip’s Summer School-Vegas

I was at Skip’s Summer School in Vegas for the past four days.  Wow. If I can sum it up in one word it’s wow. It was a super crazy and busy week. I’m extremely sleep deprived but it was soooooo worth it. I got to picked the brains and mingle with some of the top 15 photographers in the world. I was so surprised to find out how incredibly nice they turned out to be. It was a bit intimidating at first. It’s just little me in a big fishes pond. But once I found enough nerves to strike up a conversation with them, it was awesome. They were so inspirational and FUNNY!!! I’m so blessed to have finally found my passion in wedding photography and had enough nerves to finally start this business. I’m even more blessed to find out through coming to Skip’s Summer School how warm and friendly everyone turned out to be. It’s like we’re all family and we all want each other to succeed. I was also very surprised to see some of my fellow wedding photographers from Chicago. What a great business to be a part of. What an amazing community.

I met Kenny Kim at O’hare airport while trying to fly stand-by to Vegas. I found that he reminds me of a big brother. Super nice and just very brotherly (if that make any sense). Dane Sanders is really warm, friendly, and very motivational. He was the first one I met upon arriving to Vegas. This man has a photographic memory when it comes to names. His lecture brought me to tears. Bambi Cantrell was very intimidating to approach at first but once I talked to her, she’s pretty friendly and funny. Lots of energy!! Scott Bourne was so sweet. I was talking to him for a bit and all of a sudden, he bought me a Dane Sanders’s book! Robert Evans (he photographed Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s wedding and also Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s wedding and many, many more) was quiet when I first talked to him at the Camera Slinger’s party but once the flow of conversation kept going, he turned out to be such a nice guy. Gave me a ton of advice throughout the night that I’ll hang on to. He also got me a free camera slinger. hehe. Kevin Kubota is soooooo sweet!! He always has a smile on his face. Charles and Jennifer Maring is one great couple to look up to. I got to chat with Jennifer for a bit. Asking her advices on her success with working so closely with Charles. Hopefully Giant and I can work together and be a team just like Charles and Jennifer. Jerry Ghionis is one crazy talented (I call him the Versace of photography). His work is very artistic and cutting edge. He is crazy funny. He looks very shy from a distance. But once you speak to him, you realized that he’s crazy!! The man picked me up and spun me around the room! I can go on and on with stories after stories this can turn into a book about my experience there. Lastly, Skip Cohen…he pulled off an amazing lineup of the best speakers in the wedding industry. It was an amazing turn out. I can’t wait to go back next year! Great job Skip!!!!

Here are some of the pictures that was taken throughout the week. I met a lot of lifelong friends in the wedding photography world. I’m truly blessed.
