Chicago Engagement Photographer | A Sporty Engagement Session in Highland Park

Surely die-hard fans of historically opposing sports teams could never see eye to eye, right? Not so for Andrea and Andrew. She’s a hardcore St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers gal. He’s a Chicago Cubs and Bears guy all the way. But somehow, these two manage to put aside their sporty differences and form a match made in heaven!

Who’s ready to Ugly Cry? From the time they met, Andrew gave Andrea a note every day that read, “You’re special.” She kept every single note and text. When he proposed, he carried off the surprise in that same heartfelt spirit with the ultimate note.

This is one of the most fun engagement sessions I’ve shot in a long time. That’s because this fun-loving duo didn’t bat an eye when I suggested they go jump into a pool. Of course, our session didn’t begin in the water – before getting wet and wild, they first posed for proper portraits in the stunning backyard of a great-uncle’s Highland Park home and also at their favorite beach across the street. No bitter rivalry here – except for well, maybe, who can jump the highest!
