You can really never go wrong with a dreamy lace top and flowy skirt, a serene natural setting, and a cute couple like Aqsa and Adam. We had so much fun frolicking around the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool and at the Lincoln Park Zoo Honeycomb Pavilion. Aqsa and Adam came to me wanting something playful, which is exactly the kind of magic photo moments I love to make. As a Chicago engagement photographer, these kinds of sessions are always my favorite – relaxed, lighthearted, and with a big dose of whimsy thrown in (can you say water squirt guns?).
This engagement session was shot on Memorial Day. Their henna and wedding ceremonies followed later in the week, so you could say we all had a lot going on in those few days! I don’t know how I get so lucky to work with so many sweet and kind couples, but these two are no exception and spending a big holiday shooting them was nothing short of fun. So excited to share with you more of this gorgeous couple in the coming weeks – Aqsa and Adam’s henna and wedding ceremonies coming soon to the blog!
P.S. I love shooting at the Honeycomb in Chicago! I don’t get out there nearly enough but it’s a beautiful architectural structure and offers endless posing opportunities for all types of shoots. See this family session here.
