I had so much fun with Maryam and Behrad for their engagement session in downtown Chicago that it seriously felt like kicking back with old friends. He’s outwardly witty and she’s a shy Persian beauty. They met in college, hold a long-distance relationship currently, and cannot wait to make a home together in sunny Cali after they wed. And as ridiculously good looking as these two are on the outside, let me just say that they have the hearts to match – Maryam and Behrad are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and are just as sweet as these engagement photos suggest. (In fact, I’m cutting my vacay here in Maui a little short JUST to return to Chicago next week to shoot their wedding!)
We started off at the Chicago River and finished up at North Avenue Beach. Both locations offered spectacular views of a city skyline and an urban backdrop – and also, because this is the big city, a random guy in the street insisting to polish Behrad’s shoes. And Behrad, being kind Behrad, couldn’t say no.
