Chicago Engagement Photographer | Same-Sex Beachside Engagement Session That Proves Love is Love

I don’t think I’ve ever blogged a same-sex couple and I’m so glad to change this right now with these adorable engagement photos of my happy couple, Matt and Grant. They’re busy getting ready to say “I do” next year and commencing the wedding planning with this sweet engagement session right in the heart of Chicago that not only gets us right in the feels, but also proves that love is love.

You know those couples that make you want to be BFFs with them? Yeah, that’s Matt and Grant. The couple’s natural love is showcased amidst the spirit of Chicago, an inviting backdrop of a city most welcoming to same-sex marriages. Their joy is reflected in the shimmering water and sandy shores of Oak Street Beach. We shot in a few locations around downtown; the most sentimental is in front of The Chicago Theatre because that’s where Matt proposed and Grant said yes! Beautifully tender exchanges between the loving couple every few minutes, and playful banter, I hope I captured the epic Chicago skyline views and Matt and Grant’s larger-than-life love that made this engagement session one for the books.
