There is a lot that Chicago offers, especially great backdrops for photo shoots. In this vibrant city, there are countless locations to take portraits. However, the serenity of the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Chicago’s Lincoln Park is still a favorite city location by my clients. (It’s also mine, as well! I had my own family portraits taken at the Lily Pool). This National Historic Landmark remains a beautiful, timeless setting for portraits, weddings, engagement sessions, and also maternity sessions like this one of Celia and Julian.
These two will welcome a baby boy into their family in a few weeks. I was so happy to be able to capture photos of the glowing couple before their lives change forever. Another outfit change later and Celia and Julian were ready to also rock their maternity photo session along the nature trails of Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum – another preferred location of mine in Chicago for outdoor portraits, no matter the season! (See this fall engagement session here.) We were able to enjoy the bounty of lush greenery amongst a city backdrop, because as you know, I just think the sensational views of Chicago never fail to impress!
