Renae asked me to photograph her for headshots for her website. She’s a interior designer from Barrington. You can check out her work at www.rjmarinco.com. Little did she realized she was going to tell me her whole life story in two hours! LOL. I can talk to her forever!!! It was a BEAUTIFUL day out so we did a lot of walking this day. We learned a lot about each other during this walk. We’re both very passionate women. Getting her to relax for this shoot after she drove in bumper to bumper traffic just to get downtown wasn’t a problem. It was such a pleasure working with her. She posed quite naturally. I didn’t really gave her too many instructions. Not to mention she was up for anything which is always a BIG plus!!!
When Czarina hired me to shoot their wedding, we had no idea how many friends we have in common. What a small world!! Gordan is the opposite of Czarina. More reserved. She was actually very surprised how fast Gordan warmed up to me. She even told me today that she was surprised he kissed during this e-session. She said if it was up to him, they’d shake hands throughout the session!! LOL!!! I’m glad I was able to work my magic with Gordan! Here’s a sneak peek of their engagement session!! Can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year!
Emily is a singer that asked me to take some headshots of her. It was so much FUN!! Living in the West Loop (warehouse district) has got its MANY perks. Almost endless supplies of places to shoot. Just about every block is a photographer’s canvas to shoot. For this session Emily and I got to sneak into a plating factory to snap some shots until one of the employee spotted us and decided to invite us in. It was such a cool spot to shoot. It’s my new favorite spot! If you’re reading this Ray, you are AWESOME!!!
After that we walked into a boutique just so Emily can do a quick change of clothes. I ended up chatting with a cute employee named Bernadette. Before you know it, I got Bernadette to let Emily try on some of their clothes and use their boutique to do this second part of the shoot. So Bernadette, if you’re reading this as well, you’re my second favorite person of the day!!!

Hey! This is Emily here! Just wanted to say that I had SO MUCH FUN shooting with Melissa!! She is so easy going, but creative with her photoshoots. It was crazy how we just walked into plating factories and dress boutiques and took over. My purpose for doing the shoot was to get some new headshots and I definitely achieved that, as well as getting some great pics for other purposes. Thanks SO MUCH! Melissa! Love you!!
