Happy Tuesday, folks!

I’m thrilled to announce an exciting, new addition to my website coming soon… a video promo of yours truly, giving new and prospective clients a glimpse of myself and how I work! Back in September I teamed up with the talented Brian of Pogi Photo Video for a fun video shoot of me working Jennifer and Brian’s wedding at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel. The final video will be launched on my website within the next few weeks, but for now here’s a little teaser!

In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to show a few still captures on the blog from the second day of our video shoot. Jenny and Brian graciously agreed to be my model love birds once again last month so we could get more video footage. (I’m sure getting to wear The White Dress for a second time didn’t have anything to do with it!)

The indoor photos were taken at the Hilton Hotel on Michigan Avenue, where we got some dramatic shots in a ballroom awash in gold. Later, we headed across the street, and blessed with a crisp autumn day, we got more beautiful shots of the couple amidst natural lighting filtering through foliage.

Thank you, Jenny and Brian, for making time for another shoot––it’s not like you’re busy or anything, having just returned from a honeymoon and moving into a new condo the day before!

You can imagine how thrilled I was to be contacted again by a producer from Chicago’s very own WCIU, The U. This is the third (but not last!) time one of my brides-and-grooms-to-be have appeared on the Engagement/Wedding series of the station’s You & Me This Morning show. (See here for previous feature on a certain rock-star couple in love.) Even cooler is that this Tuesday’s segment featured the wedding of Jennifer and Brian, who just so happens to be one of my all-time favorite bride-and-groom couples!

I guess the producers agree, too, because this is the second time Jenny and Brian have popped up on the telly (the first being their engagement love story). Love you guys! For a dose of “Awwww, shucks!” you can check out Tuesday’s feature on the newlywed couple here, in case you missed it. And, stay tuned––you’ll soon be seeing a feature on the very dashing duo, Vikki and Derek!

Talk about a dream mehndi in Chicago. Rajul and Mehul’s mehndi took place at his parents’ inviting home in Schaumburg two days before the wedding. If you think this means it was a low-key, “down home” kinda shindig, think again! I only shot for one hour, and already, nearly 50 guests had gathered––the couple was expecting over 150 friends and family by the end of the day, from near and far!

Rajul looked radiant in royal purple and the groom-to-be was absolutely beaming from ear to ear. Even with so many guests in attendance, the day’s events felt warm, festive and intimate because there was just so much love in the room for the happy couple!

See Mehul’s grandmother here? She’s sharp as a whip, regal, composed, and would you believe that she is 85 years old young?

The mendhi artist did a phenomenal job on Rajul. You’ll see the finished result in the bridal portraits, so be sure to come back later this week for the rest of the sheer awesomeness!
