I love, love , LOVE Indian weddings.  It’s like an explosion of colors in my face the entire day and nothing makes a photographer happier than colors.  I love the hustle and bustle of this day.  I was so looking forward to the Baraat ceremony.  This is where the the groom arrives in his horse to greet his bride.  There was dancing, some biting, games, and more dancing.  Sapan was there every step of the way to assure his nervous bride things were running smoothly.  Whether it was with his charm or a gentle squeeze on her hand.  After the Var Mala (ceremony) is the Vidaai.  Also known to others as the crying ceremony.  And boy was it emotional.  I myself was crying!!!!  It’s a tearful and emotional farewell for the bride and her family.  Even as I’m writing this and seeing their pictures last night, I couldn’t help but get a little choked up.  Thanks so much Jignasha for giving me such a thorough education on Indian rituals.  Me, Emily, and William had such a blast at your wedding.  Thanks so much Jiggy and Sapan for having us.  Congrats again to you two!

I really do love how much color are at Indian weddings! Just the wedding flowers alone I bet look absolutely stunning. I hope my wedding is like that 🙂 No subtle colors for me!

Hey everyone.  I just got home a few hours ago from today’s Summer Trash the Dress.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous today!!!  I wanted to post a super quick sneak peek before heading off to bed.  Thanks everyone that attended that made this day possible.  Thanks Jenna and Veronica for coming out to model and get down and dirty!

I shot about 50 frames so I don’t have much to show but nonetheless, here’s a quick teaser!

Had a blast shooting TTD!! Melissa, great job organizing! You are AWESOME! Felt like a kid jumping on trains and rolling in dirt…who’d know you can get such awesome pics getting so dirty!! lol. Thanks to all the photographers who came out to capture such beautiful shots! Loved it! xoxo

This shoot with Sheeka was put together at the last minute.  I didn’t meet Sheeka until the day of the shoot.  Immediately we just clicked.  She’s the sweetest girl ever.  Stunningly beautiful with the most gorgeous skin!!  I wanted to do this shoot in a wooded area and of course we layered up with multiple layers of bug spray.  Sheeka missed her back so the bugs spent happy hour there.  Even Amanda that came out to assist got bit through her jeans.  Besides those pesky bugs, she did an amazing job hiding the fact she was being chomped on.  Thanks Sheeka for being so sweet and it was such a blast working with you.  Can’t wait for you to get back from Boston so we can work together again!

Thanks Mili Ghosh from Memories In Motion for referring Sheeka and Amanda Adelsick for coming out to assist!
